Brian Fischer, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®
Principal, President
Brian has been in the financial planning and investment management business since 1982. He specializes in the investment analysis, taxation, and retirement areas of the financial planning process.
Brian has received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), credentials. He has been admitted to the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners as a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 26, and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as various insurance licenses. Brian received his bachelor's degree in finance and economics from Pace University, Pleasantville, New York.
Brian enjoys traveling, collecting and learning about wine, and spending time down at the Shore.
Scott Cooper, CFP®, CFS®, CLTC
Principal, Vice President
Scott has spent his career as a dedicated advocate and coach for his clients in the world of wealth management. After graduating from Albright College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, he spent 4 ½ years with a public accounting firm before joining Economic Concepts in 1990. Over the past 3+ decades, Scott has been dedicated to helping people navigate the complexities of financial planning and aims to enable them to be able to retire with confidence.
Scott describes himself as a “people person” with a strong desire for helping others through the wealth management process and making a positive impact on his client’s lives. His ultimate professional goal is to assist individuals in building a lifetime of happiness and a legacy of success through sound planning and prudent advice.
In 1993, Scott earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, signaling his commitment to providing tailor-made financial plans and investment solutions. In 2006, he added the Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC), showcasing his dedication to comprehensive financial support.
In 2004, Scott reached the summit of Mount Rainier. He often reflects on the similarities between that achievement and wealth management, specifically sticking to the planned route, avoiding distractions, and remaining focused on the ultimate goal of reaching the summit.
Scott and his wife Patty are proud parents to two sons, Nicholas and Matthew. Outside of work, Scott’s passions include travel, golf, music, fitness and being outdoors. However, spending time with his family and friends are what makes him most happy.
Nancy Cameron
Client Services Manager
Nancy oversees operational issues, including new accounts, account transfers, trading, customer service, account maintenance, and compliance. She has been in the banking and financial services industry since 1988. Her experience prior to joining Economic Concepts in 2006 includes Merrill Lynch and Copeland Companies in the areas of account and client services.
Nancy holds the FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63 securities registrations and is a Registered Staff Member of Commonwealth Financial Network®. She graduated from Kean University with a BS in management.
Linda Caniga
Executive Assistant
Linda joined Economic Concepts in 2001. She may be the first voice you hear when calling our office. Linda manages Brian's and Scott's calendars, maintains client files and directories, provides client service backup, and fields client administrative questions and concerns.
Sy Marsh
Financial and IT Operations
Sy joined Economic Concepts in 2001. He works at keeping both our financial records and our office technology in order. Sy manages our information technology systems, assists with client account data, and client service, as well as maintaining our internal corporate bookkeeping. In his prior life, Sy was a high school teacher for more than 30 years.
